Every PDF job, explained
What each tool does, how it behaves here, and where it stops.
What these tools do
PDF to Word
Editable .docx keeping fonts, colours, tables and images. Needs a text layer.
Word to PDF
A .docx laid out on real pages, at the size the document was written for.
PDF to Excel
Tables into .xlsx with their widths, fills and fonts. One sheet each.
Excel to PDF
Every sheet on its own landscape page, keeping widths, fills and weights.
PDF to PowerPoint
One slide per page, every line placed exactly where the PDF draws it.
PowerPoint to PDF
One page per slide, at the deck’s own size, with every shape in place.
PDF to HTML
One self-contained web page. Text stays selectable, images travel inside it.
HTML to PDF
Headings, lists, tables and emphasis onto pages. Not a browser screenshot.
PDF to JPG or PNG
Render each page as an image you can download.
Images to PDF
Turn JPG and PNG files into one PDF, one image to a page.
PDF to text
Pull out the text layer. Scans have none.
Text to PDF
A .txt or .md file typeset onto pages, with blank lines as paragraph breaks.
Scan to PDF
Photographs of pages, cropped and cleaned up into a document. No OCR.
Merge PDFs
Join several files into one, in the order you arrange them.
Split PDF
One file per page, fixed-size chunks, or cuts where you choose — as a ZIP.
Extract pages
Keep only the pages you select as a new document.
Delete pages
Remove the pages you select and keep the rest.
Rotate pages
Turn selected pages, or the whole document, a quarter at a time.
Reorder pages
Drag pages into the order you want them.
Edit PDF
Change text on the page and fill in form fields, then download it.
Sign & Stamp PDF
Draw or upload a signature, add a stamp, and place it where you need it.
Protect PDF
Lock a document with a password. AES-128, which every reader opens.
Unlock PDF
Take the password off a document — once you have typed the password.
Repair PDF
Rebuild the index of a file that will not open, from the objects themselves.
What they do not do
Two things people reasonably expect from a PDF toolkit are missing, and it is better to say so here than to let you find out after choosing a file.
OCR outside the PDF Editor
A scanned page is a picture of text. The PDF Editor can read it with OCR (English and Arabic, in your browser) so the text can be selected and edited, and its download carries a searchable text layer. The other tools — extract text, PDF to Word and the rest — read the text layer a PDF already has, so they say plainly when a document has none rather than returning an empty file: run it through the Editor first.
A digital signature with a certificate
Sign & Stamp places a picture of a signature on the page. A legally binding e-signature is a different thing: a certificate issued to you by an authority, cryptographically bound to the document, which a reader can verify. That needs a private key we would have to hold, and holding it would undo the reason every tool here runs in your browser.
Working with documents elsewhere? Invoice Generator and Quotation Generator both produce real PDFs from scratch.
