Zakat Calculator
Zakat on the methodology you follow, with the working shown.
The schools genuinely differ on what counts, where the threshold sits and whether the jewellery you wear is zakatable — so this asks which methodology you follow and applies it, rather than presenting one calculation as the answer. Covers cash, gold and silver by weight and carat, investments, property, business assets, pensions, agricultural produce and livestock, with every figure shown so you can check it or take it to a scholar.

How it works
The things worth knowing before you sign up.
How do I calculate Zakat?
Enter what you hold — cash, gold, silver, business stock, receivables, crops or livestock — and the calculator applies the nisab threshold and the correct rate to each. It shows a full breakdown of how the figure was reached, not just the amount due.
What is nisab, and which one should I use?
Nisab is the minimum you must hold before Zakat is due. It can be measured against gold or against silver, and the two give different thresholds. You can pick either, or enter your own figure if you have been given one locally.
Does it follow my school of thought?
You can choose Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i, Hanbali or Ja‘fari, or a cautious setting that takes the more careful position where they differ. The choice changes how the calculation is carried out.
How is Zakat on gold calculated?
By weight, unit and carat purity, so 21-carat and 24-carat jewellery are not treated as the same thing. Enter what you actually hold rather than an estimated value.
Is this religious advice?
No. It is a calculator that applies the rules you select, and it shows its working so you can check it. For anything uncertain about your own circumstances, ask a qualified scholar.
Which assets does it cover?
Cash, gold, silver, business stock and receivables, crops and livestock. Gold and silver account for purity, so 90 grams of 22-carat gold is counted as its fine weight rather than its total weight.
Can I choose my madhhab?
Yes. The madhhab and the nisab basis — gold or silver — are both yours to set, and they change the threshold and in some cases the treatment of an asset. The breakdown shows which basis produced the result.
Is this religious advice?
No. It is a calculator that shows its working, including the nisab it used and how each asset was treated, so you or your scholar can check it. For an unusual situation, ask someone qualified rather than trusting a total.
