Worth knowing
- The file never leaves your computer. Every one of these tools runs inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no copy on a server, nothing to delete afterwards and no queue of other people’s documents next to yours.
- The pages that stay are untouched. Nothing is re-rendered or recompressed, so the remaining pages keep their text, their image quality and their file size.
- Deleting is not redacting. Removing a page removes everything on it. Removing sensitive text from a page you are keeping is a different job — covering it with a black box in an editor leaves the text underneath, where anyone can copy it out.
- Keeping is sometimes easier than deleting. If you want three pages out of ninety, Extract pages is the quicker way round.
