Upscaling draws the image larger with high-quality smoothing, then sharpens it. Small or soft images become clearer; detail the original never captured cannot be invented.
How the image enhancer works
- Upscaling draws it larger, carefully. The image is enlarged in 2× steps with high-quality interpolation, which keeps edges smoother than a single big jump. The output size in pixels is shown before you start.
- Then it is sharpened and adjusted. Sharpening restores edge contrast lost to enlargement; brightness and contrast lift a dull photo; noise reduction softens grain and JPEG blocks.
- It cannot invent detail. A face too small to recognise stays too small to recognise. Enhancing makes an image clearer to look at and better for printing — it does not recover what the camera never captured.
- Your photo stays on your device. Everything happens in the browser tab. There is no upload and no server copy.
